At around 5am Julia asked to be transferred to hospital (dehydrated because couldn’t keep anything down, and exhausted so wanted some extra help - and drugs!). Definitely a good call in this instance I think. So I put a wash on and followed them in an Uber.

Continuing from yesterday’s blip… (all blurred into one day!) At 9:51am with help from a clearly very experienced and skilled midwife - Julia managed to deliver naturally (despite the drugs meaning she couldn’t always feel when she was having a contraction - the midwife would tell her each time!) and Julia actually brought the baby out and up to her chest herself! Baby Eden welcome to the world - let’s hope it gives you as much food as you need, because the noise you made when you couldn’t immediately get it on entering this “outside” world was really quite spectacular!
