Queen Anne

I came across this rather unprepossessing statue of Queen Anne in a Westminster backstreet, albeit the street is named after her. There is a grander statue of the monarch in front of St Paul's Cathedral. Queen Anne ruled from 1702 until 1714 and is now regarded in a more positive light than before. She was played by Oluvia Colman in the acclaimed film, The Favourite, in 2018. Ms Colman won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in the role.
