Last night there was the heaviest rain for us so far this week.  The slips and flooding came closer to where I live.  I walked down to the closest stream which is usually just babbling along.  A worker explained the stream  blocked further up in the hills and when it let go it washed down blocking this culvert and spreading out through the playground (extra) and down the street.  This has been repeated with other streams that come out of the hills. The forester had to take around about route to get down to see how his brother is faring.  He lives on the plain but the aquifer under his land is saturated and the water isn't draining away so he is living surrounded by a lake.  What will tomorrow bring?
