Magical Moths

I remember being mesmerised by my first hummingbird hawk moth on red valerian by the side of  the Whitby steps only a few years ago, I saw one fleetingly in France less than a month ago, but this week I have absolutely feasted my eyes on them. Today, in the garden, we were treated to a visit on the hot lips salvia as we ate breakfast, and on our visit to Charleston in the afternoon there were several more to enjoy. Too many photos to choose from, it’s late, but this is sharper than most and I love the contrast here with the zing of the zinnia.
