Hewenden Viaduct

I have blipped the viaduct several times over the years but never from this angle which has only been possible since the old Methodist chapel in Harecroft was demolished some weeks ago. The chapel was typical of its era, Victorian I believe, and it's a pity it couldn't have remained and been used but I guess there aren't enough households in this small village to merit it being used as a community resource. Unfortunately it has been replaced by a rubble of bricks, wood and broken glass with the usual 'planning permission' sign and will probably remain in this state for some time.
