Even though I spent the last couple of weeks in the area with the best places to see the northern lights, it wasn't possible because the nights in Lapland are still very short in August and it wasn't enough dark yet.

Although I was really tired last night after a long day's travel, I had to walk 200 meters to my home beach to see if I could get any photos, of the northern lights, because the aurora forecast looked pretty good at midnight. It was actually very nice to stand on the dark beach on +21 C temperature and enjoy the silence of the night.
