Little River Beach.

We took the day off!!!   made a picnic lunch of egg salad sandwiches and lots of snacks.   Had to wait 1/2 hour in the line for the ferry...those damn tourists :)   it was such a beautiful day, it was actually just fine sitting in the car waiting.....i wasn't working!!!

Arrived at the beach to find loads of cars in the parking lot....those damn tourists.....and we were expecting to find the beach overrun....but it wasn't, lots of folks for sure, but we were able to find a nice spot to set up our chairs etc.   As soon as we got there i was right into the water..it was wonderful...just nicely shocking on entering!

Took a lovely long walk along the beach and found a large rock to sit on and play with the waves....and my camera!  Feels like it's been ages since i did this.....and so 140 photos later.....i just so enjoyed following the movement of the water and the waves were quite dramatic.   A few times i thought i was going to be soaked as i sat on my rock...but thankfully they only got to me knees!

Read a bit, chatted with friends a bit....and now it's time for hamburgers on the BBQ.

We need to do this more often...oh wait it's almost the end of summer, but we'll get another beach day in soon!

just to be clear i am more than grateful for all the wonderful tourists that come to our island, without them we'd be out of business....but you can imagine my mixed feelings on occasions :)
