Plum blossom

When our little Victoria plum last year had hardly any blossom and yielded just fourteen plums we were very disappointed. We hoped that a late frost was partly to blame. We shared the plums out, just seven apiece, and decided to give the little tree one more chance. This spring it still looked unpromising until the warm days last week saw it burst into life with more blossom than we have ever seen before! Victoria plums are the tastiest sweetest plums there are, and Victoria plum jam is to die for. So, fingers crossed no late frosts will spoil this early promise.
