Autumn?!

The trees seem to think Autumn is coming. The lack of rain and the immense heat has led to some of the trees (like our silver birch) to start to drop their leaves.

We filled at least seven buckets from the lawn today. I say “lawn” but it is bare earth and straw where the lawn should be.

We have a hosepipe bam starting on Wednesday and I imagine it’ll be in place for quite some months.


In other news, L had a good check up at the dentist this morning and we also took her to have her feet measured for school shoes. Another couple of jobs ticked off.
