Helicopters in the Mist

Mist was hanging around all morning, along with showers.  It finally came down, with the sun trying to burn it off, it didn't succeed.  Windy most of the day.

Up early, and popped by Laura's on my way to work, mam was along for a cuppa too.  I was mostly working on the check-in desk all day, with a few office jobs to sort.  Walkies with Sammy, and he was unimpressed with a shower when we returned.  Feet up now, and Sammy clean high playing with the towel.

All flights were coming and going on time this morning, and looked like a good afternoon and evening ahead.  All of a sudden, the mist came down and changed that.  It started with a charter flight not getting in, then our 4pm Aberdeen, and the last two flights got cancelled later.  It turned into a busy evening sorting new flights, hotels and transport, but we soon got through it and hopefully get everyone moving tomorrow.  15 months into the job now, and disruption days aren't good for passengers, but organising the chaos now feels rewarding.  Here's a grounded helicopter, waiting to head back to the hanger for the day, at Sumburgh Airport.
