Manhattan Beach Open Qualifiers

We arrived in Manhattan Beach, CA after a long drive down the coast from the La Parísíma Mission. The drive would have been much shorter had we not had to deal with L.A. traffic, but that is unavoidable when traveling north to south. We spent about an hour going 4.1 miles to the Costco gas station, then it was more traffic to eventually reach the Residence Inn. We were greated by a complimentary happy hour and a very nice room. 

Thursday is the best day at the AVP Manhattan Beach Open Volleyball Tournament (if not the best - sunny - weather today), because there are so many games to watch and the crowds are much smaller. The easy access and overcast water allowed me to shoot from any side of the court instead of having to worry about the sun as per usual.
