Magenta Cosmos

Looking through the kitchen window I noticed this butterfly.  I went for my camera and the butterfly was still in the garden, but on a different cosmos and it stayed  in place for me to take this photo.  Normally creatures don't hang around for me!  I haven't seen many butterflies in the garden this year.  Has it been too hot?  The cosmos are still giving for this distinctive butterfly
