MP's Tower

The small tower belongs to the castle of Den Haag and was described already in the annals of 1354. Since 1798 it became the office for rulers of Home Affairs and in 1849 it became the office for Thorbecke, the founder of the Dutch Parliament who then had rewritten the Constitutional Law, what originated from 1815.

Since 1982 this small tower is the office for our ruling MP.
I like it casts its shadow on the neighbouring building, what is the Maurits House, a little gem of museum here in  town.
