Went out to South Queensferry with the Edinburgh Creative Photographers meetup group ostensibly to catch the Sun setting behind the Forth Rail Bridge. The Sun looked it may be going to light up the sky with a beautiful sunset but it didn't quite manage it in the end. Not to say that there wasn't anything worth photographing, there was a lot of instances of rays permeating the cloud up the estuary providing a nice backdrop. Ultimately I think that my original plan of taking two cameras and having one set up for timelapse would have paid off but as I was already a bit weighed down with first I decided against the second. A swift pint in the Hawes in followed with some meeting and greeting but I left at 9:40 to be on the 10 o'clock train whilst everyone else stayed on for the bridge lighting up which must have happened around 10 as the bridge was looking very majestic by the time I boarded the train.

Work shifted stream today, the weeks of pair programming in the the amazing d3 library are now shifting emphasis to me and my 'pair' now passing knowledge on to other staff. The company insists on continuing to call this pair programming but in truth teaching someone in no way harnesses the benefits of the pair programming process but along with agile methodology (which we don't follow), scrums (which we don't really do) and sprints (getting there) these are all buzz-phrases which our middle-to-senior management feel should be used wherever possible.

Jen's first full day back in the house was dominated by facebook games, surprise, surprise.
