In the wilds

Another walk in the mountains. This time we walked to Lac du Lou. A lake nestled into the mountainous backdrop of the alps. We opted for a swim in the lake after a sweaty walk up a goat track. The water was icy cold but refreshing. I did not stay in long but pleased that I had made the effort to plunge in.
The icy waters were refreshing and the mountains provided a great backdrop.
Grateful for the icy shock that made me feel alive, for fabulous scenery and for the walk back enjoying waterfalls and rock piles.
