Confirmation Day

When Phyl and I arrived for Mass this morning we found that today was the day for this year's Confirmation class. Although the special Mass took about two hours, the liturgy was very fine. Bishop Joseph Perry's homily was outstanding -- exploring the distinctions between 'happiness' and 'joy' and calling for the confirmandi to be courageous in living Gospel lives in the face of the many contrary energies that they would certainly encounter.

Due to low light, I had to process the image quite a bit to come up with something half-way usable; hence the 'posterized' situation.
