High tide at Le Vallette

Lovel sunny but cool day with fairly strong wind from SE.
Hence, a little bit choppy on the east coast which is relatively unusual!
This shot is over one of Guernsey's old outdoor swimming pools which get refreshed on every high tide.
Because it is a hight spring tide you can't see the pool but this flat area borders the western end of the "Ladies" pool!
There are three of these granite pools..Gents, Ladies and Children's, not sure why as I don't know that there was ever any segregation
When I was a kid these pools were where we learned to swim (plus the beach of course) and you learned fast to get out of the freezing water asap!..the blue colour also reflects the colour we all looked when we got out!
Great memories and great fun though!
