not uncommon

but more rare - than typical these - days because i - live so much farther - north and from - viable water sources - for them so - my path is not - always their path - but when it is - what a treat

to see their glorious - bodies flying overhead - and hear them - calling to each other - it’s really quite magical - and this time - i just happened - to be outside - when i heard that - unmistakable clarion call - was very surprised to - see how closely - they were going - to be zooming - over the courtyard - and i would be - able to get - a perfect capture - if i timed it right - oh but what a way - to make it…
