It's interesting when it turns out to be really difficult to photograph something as faithfully as the human eye sees it. After seeing this opportunity when walking back to the house one night I tried several times and looked up some guides on the internet. Basically, all those dramatic moon-rise shots you see always have a lot of photoshop work done. This one doesn't, just because I wasn't interested in doing that. No post tweaking at all, in fact.

It's also interesting how many moving things suddenly appear in the night sky when you start photographing. And how fast the moon moves.
