I finished the last of the dishes from yesterday and C started the process of fixing the leak in the fish tank and put up fly nets in the kitchen & bedroom, before we lit the fire and relaxed with a sundowner.

I had an idea for dessert, which worked surprisingly well. C has a few ideas for improvements, which will be tried before summer is over.

Over the last few evenings we watched the Lord of the Rings movies. Why were no black people cast? There is no indication in the books that all the characters are white. There are a few characters who are blond, whom one can assume must be white, but the rest can be anything. Hollywood deviated so much from the books that they couldn't use the original intention of the author as an excuse anyway.
