A Meandering Life...

Thunderbird Two...

My camper has seen some minor changes over the period I have owned it. Technically it is a 4 berth (2 berth in the main area and 2 child size births in the roof). The only issue is it is only registered as a 3 seater!

If you look at the original set-up the bench seat cannot be used for passengers. The 3rd seat, unlike the two up front is very much a make-do affair, even with a seatbelt.

We never intended it as a camper, although I have used it for car shows (see combo version). The main appeal was the bathroom at the back, very useful when exploring the North York Moors, Yorkshire Dales or further.

A while back I removed the old set-up and had removable seats added. I had it re-tested and registered as a 4 seater/camper. The passenger set-up is shown in one of the images.

Soon we are venturing into Scotland for a camping trip. The first together for decades. We will be using a large air-framed drive-away awning for our sleeping/daytime area and the van will be either the kitchen or on-suite. It doesn't hurt to have some luxury...
