Memento Mori

This charming miniature is advertised as a miniature water colour of a Victorian Lady.  

Yes, it is indeed, but I also think it's a Victorian Memento Mori which isn't so much a reminder that we all must die, but more of a remembrance of a life well lived.  

Anyway we shall see, because we bought it tonight, and I shall blip the full thing tomorrow.    She really is quite lovely.
