Customs House

This is Customs House, a heritage listed building that now operates as Customs House Hotel.

Sitting outside on the verandah is a good place in the Summer to partake in a drink or meal.  I have been to many a function there too in the upstairs rooms including office Christmas parties.

It has a time ball that no longer works.  The clock can be a bit hit and miss at times too.  I have given it the antique treatment here.

As Wiki says:  The building was designed in the Italian Renaissance Revialist style by the NSW Colonial Architect, James Barnet in 1877, with a wing added in matching materials in 1899 under the direction of Walter Vernon.  More about it's history and damage in the 1989 Earthquake can be found here.

Thanks for hosting Bob.
