Anniversary

A busy day, with preparations for our Diamond Wedding anniversary day tomorrow.
Judith and I had our nails painted at a nail bar in the village, this was a new experience for me, such fun. (Extra)
We went out to lunch, to a pub where Judith used to work some days and socialise others. She amused the current staff by telling how it was when she knew it, fifty plus years ago.
Norman then decided we should visit the church where we were married, and Judith took our photograph at the door, sixty years on. We met a very sociable caretaker who proudly showed us around.
Having covered the service, we visited the place where we had our reception. It was a private house with a large garden, belonging to friends of my stepfather. Norman, bold as brass, drove right in and knocked on the door! There was no reply.
We are having a quiet evening before another busy day tomorrow.
