Infatuated!

Yes, I'm a bit infatuated by these Black Swallowtail butterfly caterpillars... 12 of them gobbling up the fennel just as quickly as they can. They have almost totally denuded the plants, so this may be the last 'army' (a group of caterpillars) for this summer. I guess that will depend on how quickly the fennel plants can recover.
