This rather small but handsome wasp was on a fennel flower. I spent a happy 10 minutes trying to identify it online before deciding that my knowledge of wasp taxonomy wasn't up to the job. It didn't seem to be our usual jam eating sort. It sat very still and wasn't at all buzzy
