Common Sandpiper

I was going to round the month off with a violet for my colour theme, but in the end, I couldn't resist this common sandpiper, one of four we saw at one of our nearby reservoirs on a walk between a visit to the dump recycling site and our new house to check out a few details and measurements.
Tomorrow is a new month. Giving myself an easy theme - Things with Wings which might be bees, hoverflies, butterflies, dragons and damsels ... Oh, and maybe the odd bird ;-D
