Morning has broken

Woke up just before 6am and this was the view from our balcony. If you zoom in, you will see the fret hovering above the river Coquet (pronounced “coe ket”).

The day soon became glorious and I actually did some gardening - well, I cut down all the tall weeds growing in the field close to our fence as they were interrupting my view.

Found some ripening blackberries on the other side of the fence too - may pick some tomorrow.

My “apple” neighbour offered some plums this afternoon. I expected a pudding bowlful and received a half filled regular sized carrier bag! I feel a plum tart or crumble might be on the menu soon.
