Missing in action....

Been busy the last few days getting some inside and outside refurbishment work done on the front door. 
Was planning to replace it, but, the cost of the ones we liked was just too difficult to justify. 

So, a complete refurb it was. Tilly, our Springer that we lost just over twelve months ago had caused some damage while attacking the post even, though it was inside a basket on the door. Some nasty gouges and scratches to sand out. But then, that meant stripping the wood stain completely off the inside of the door. Fiddly work with 6 wood and 9 glass panels. 
And all the brass fitting polished up to a nice shine.
Today, the final step was reinstall new draught excluder strips. 
Got there in the end. Nearly four days of effort in total.
Should hopefully now withstand the ravages of winter.

Late today, I managed to pick up my camera - the first time since Sunday. A few snaps in the garden. Nothing new to show to be honest.
