In a nearby street

A bit of Saturday morning shopping, after which I felt sore, and weary. lunch helped, as did relaxing with a book. Later in the afternoon, Iwanted to try a walk. although my left thigh remains swollen, aching at times, it does seem to work near normally.. Fifteen minutes was long enough.

The magnolia tree on which this flower grew is still quite small; the flowers are big. perhaps it is a Campbelli.

When S and I were students together in Dunedin, we would walk in The Gardens, where a large and spreading magnolia tree would burst into flower about this time of the year, drawing many (including us) to view The Campbelli.
