Australian Crow butterfly

The butterflies here never stop moving! Mostly so fast I can’t see them properly and certainly not up for photo shoots. This one however was prepared in the heat of the day to pause for me :) I just love his spotty body!
We were also lucky enough to spot a pair of Crested Hawks in one of the palm trees. They breed from September to February in this part of the world so probably just starting their cycle. I’ve put a photo in the extras.
Oh and the daytime moon the wrong way round again!

Edit: I thought since obviously there’s a blipper who doesn’t appear to believe this is a real butterfly ( see comments) I’d add this link. https://australian.museum/learn/animals/insects/common-crow-butterfly/
