New Game

Euan and I invented a new game this afternoon, Plantpot Biffing.  My blip records one of the few times he managed to miss.

It's been a busy old day.  We were in charge as Becky and Rob wanted to get in a couple of hours' decorating on the new house before they attended the Wadham College Medical Reunion.  It began in the afternoon with several talks, one given by Becky, followed by a formal evening.  They both looked very glamorous as they pedalled off down in to the city.

Meanwhile, Tony, Euan and I began the day at Parkrun in the University Parks.  With all the fast runners streaming past us on their second circuit, Euan decided he wanted to run.  We still managed fifty minutes with him getting in and out of the stroller.  From there we walked in to the City for cuppas and snacks at Gail's Bakery, a favourite place on our visits, followed by the Children's dept at Blackwells.  Euan selected several books he wanted me to read and, according to Tony, I collected a group of little people listening in.  Euan finally chose a 'Tiger Who Came to Tea' jigsaw and a Bluey book and took them up to the lady on the desk to pay.  He has the routine off by heart.

He then wanted to go home on the bus which we duly did and it was then time for lunch followed by lots of garden games and a cycle down to the Coop for Magnums.  He's at the stage where delaying tactics come in to play before bed and we had several tonight.  At least we know that he is happy to spend the day (and night) with us, which sets us up for when we will be looking after him at ours in a couple of weeks.
