a farm

They came from the village of de Valom, a small town in Friesland, the Netherlands. The family emigrated to Canada in the spring of 1950.

Biense and Baukje sold their farm to their son and purchased a small house that included a pasture and a small barn. Baukje died and then Biense. Their small white house and land were purchased by their daughter and her husband who farmed next door.
