2nd vet appointment

Toby (and I) are back at the vet. Appointment at 11.00 am.
Last Thursday we were here as well, but that didn’t turn out too well. See my previous blip about that event, two days ago.

Toby was put to sleep this time and that made the treatment a lot easier. His ear infection didn’t look too bad. The vet took the opportunity to clean his teeth a bit as well and Toby’s anal gland got some attention as well.
All within 10 minutes.
Then Toby got a second injection to wake him up again. That took about 15 minutes. He was still very shaky and wobbly when we came home. Poor dog.

He tried to walk but just couldn’t handle that. Therefore I sat behind the piano. Normally when I do so, he goes into his bed and falls asleep.
It worked out just fine this time as well. He couldn’t get into his bed but did fall asleep right in front of it.
I played for about 45 minutes and after that he was a lot stronger again.
Only by the end of the afternoon he was back to normal, though still very sleepy.
