Carol's ramblings

Leisure Sunday

Decided to take a trip to Boulders lock today, to Ray Mill Island as neither of us had been before, even though it’s only about 10 miles away from where we live.

As I had had a lie in, it was nearly midday before we got there. Stopped to watch some boats go through the lock - always so interesting to dream about owning any of the boats. Tge flowers are still blooming well around the lock, pretty selection. Into the island, stopped off at the cafe for lunch before looking at the weir, Jubilee river and the Guinea pigs and birds. Stopped off for an ice cream which we ate watching the boats on the Thames,

Popped over to our son and daughter-in-laws for a coffee (not long now, under 5 weeks before our granddaughter arrives). Frank wanted cuddles, he was happy to see us too.

Back home, managed to finish off the baby blanket, just need to sew in the ends and block it. I love the colours and the wool is lovely and soft. Around 500+ stitches to cast off!
