Baling straw

A little field edge topping in the morning, then a quick lunch and fetching Jussi from school as he had a very short day, so he could come along when I went spare parts shopping etc. On the way back he dropped by at a garage to apply for internship. He then had to stop by at school, or so he thought, but actually it took more than half an hour, so I had a longish wait.

Back home I packed the camera club's photos the AFCC theme exhibition in newly bought bubble wrap and a surprisingly well fitting box. When I tried to pay the parcel on the Posti website, I got annoying error messages, paid without getting the necessary code, had to fill in a cancellation form to get the money back and finally paid more at the desk. Frustrating and time consuming.

So it was quite late before getting back to productive work, so no time to install the bought spares. Baling went a little better than last time, but not without problems. This time it was the baler's pickup that produced the hickups, the reason being a broken spring in one of the forks that push the material from the pickup to the baling chamber. Therefore the thicker spots (few, luckily) caused problems, but it didn't take long to clear the clogs and we got the largest of the fields to be baled done in a little more than an hour. Loaded a half of the bales, too, but the rest had to be left for another day.
