This is the last chrysalis on my swan plants and was lucky enough to catch it today just before it flew off. There were actually two today but one was in a very awkward place to photograph.
So that will be all now till they come back next year. Incidently in our paper this morning there are hundreds of Monarchs on a Himalayan Cedar at the art gallery in Timaru - there was a photo and apparently they assemble in trees when they sense winter is coming and in this particular tree they fly round the top stocking up on nectar.
