Pulling Up His Net

Myles and I took at walk at the Riverwalk  just a couple of miles from where we live, where there were a few fisher-people on the dock. This young man was using a net.  I didn't see him catch anything, but he seemed to be having a good time.

The MonoMonday challenge, hosted by Laurie54 is to post a photo and a joke to go along with it so here goes:

One day a rather inebriated ice fisherman drilled a hole in the ice and peered into the hole and a loud voice from above said, “There are no fish down there.”
He walked several yards away and drilled another hole and peered into the hole and again the voice said, “There’s no fish down there.”
He then walked about 50 yards away and drilled another hole and again the voice said, “There’s no fish down there.”
He looked up into the sky and asked, “God, is that you?”
“No, you idiot,” the voice said, “it’s the rink manager.”
In Extra is the American Beauty Berry - I've never seen such purple berries in nature. Apparently, birds and deer find them delightful.
Many thanks Laurie54 for hosting MM this month.
