Preparing

A day of prepping for next steps. Good to get a call pretty early on to say that they were about to deliver P’s hospital bed, so I popped down there and weeded the flower bed he’ll be able to see whilst they set it all up…has an air filled mattress so hopefully it’s comfortable and lessens the chance of pressure sores.
From there I went to K’s and we hunkered down with websites to find somewhere to stay in Sydney during our stay in October. Took ages, but think we’ve found a place in Darlinghurst which looks nice. Had a walk to the shop to buy wine etc for tonight (my step count has plummeted this month after such a good august) but I couldn’t be bothered battling the traffic to go back to T&Kt’s to get changed for book group. Nipped over to the hospital to see P and show him the set up at home…think he expects he’ll be home tomorrow so I tried to temper his expectations a bit as who knows how long it will take!
Had a lovely evening catching up with everyone and chatted a little about books we’ve read recently but not one in particular and ate way too much as usual (very tasty though!), then home and in bed just in time to complete today’s Duolingo class so I didn’t break my streak!
Down in Westminster the next clown in the revolving wheel of awful leaders took her place….can’t engage with it at all (other than via send up and comedy) it’s too awful ….
