Ghosts

Found this photo of my late stepfather’s parents when they got married - must be getting on for a hundred years ago now.

The stuff that horror movies are made of. The little girl on the left looks obsessed and the one on the right seems to be grinning maniacally despite having lost a leg. Very strange photograph.

I knew the mother. In fact I went to her funeral as a boy in the early 1970s. She was an odd, scary woman. 

Today was also the stuff of nightmares - Liz Truss took over as Prime Minister. Now that really is scary …

We had torrential rain. Totally poured down and lots of flooded roads. And I felt really tired. Don’t know why I’m so exhausted at the moment…
