Trilliums are coming!!!!

One of my favourite flowers of the spring come from several species of native Trillium. The first to bloom is Trillium erectum. The common name "wake-robin" refers to the red colour of the flower, and like that of the robin breast heralds the start of spring.

Technically, the flash on the ground produced an amazing (IMO) velvety texture to both the flowers and leaves. Well worth the dirty knees and butt!
