Female Common Darter

A day of scattered rain showers and I was mainly at home sorting out the presentation for tonight.  I did go out after lunch though with my husband for a quick wander around Bystock Ponds.  We got the timing just right as the rain had stopped and the sun was coming out.  A lovely quick walk with the ground looking and smelling quite fresh after all the dry weather we have had.  A few dragonflies were spotted including this female Common Darter and a Small Red Damselfly.

Glad to say we all had an enjoyable meeting in the evening and the presentation went well.  I put this into the tiny Tuesday challenge but although its small enough to fit into your hand there is no way that would happen.
