Another Surprise

Apart from occasionally producing another pair of leaves the big clawed Aloe hasn’t done much, but now it’s doing something new. Perhaps the mild winter, and being in the greenhouse with extra covers, has done the trick.

Today I set up a little raised planter, with rotted pea straw, years old leaf mould, and bought vegetable mix. I intend using it for young green veges and salad herbs.

Then I sowed my main crop of tomatoes, capsicum, and cucumbers, all to be started off in the livingroom.
