God save the queen

A rainy day all over the country as we come to the end of the Elizabethan era.

A constant throughout our entire lives, she represented much that we feel is British and right about the country. Like a stern Headmistress she just had to tolerate the rabble and be our moral compass. Somehow she always managed to stay well informed and one step ahead of the litany of frequently dubious politicians during her reign. How she kept her temper was a miracle.
