Churn Milk Joan.

A long walk over the moors today, brought us to Churn Milk Joan, a Standing Stone that I used to visit quite often when I was little.
I remember being lifted up to see if there were coins on the top. Where as now I tend to leave the coins, (I think it's supposed to bring good luck.)
Legend has it, a milk maid (Joan) got caught in a blizzard whilst bringing milk from Luddenden to Pecket Well.
The stone is also known by the names : Churn Milk Peg and Savilles Low. But I always new it as. . . .
. . . Churn Milk Joan
