The ends of the earth

Until you hit Ireland that is....

Great walk first thing out to Ardnave Point, spotting the famous, hoped for (and slightly rare) Choughs along the way, before a paddle in the Hebridean blue.

Whisky then gin in the shapes of Kilchoman (the only field-to-bottle producer on the island) and the Isle of Islay distillery.

Another walk out on the Oa, to an American memorial to two separate losses of life off the coast during the first world war (both troop ships, one torpedoed, the other suffering the misfortune of a collision with another convoy ship).

The day rounded off with marshmallows toasting over a fire before dinner...
