To swim or not to swim

We watched this group of friends from afar trying to decide whether to go for a swim in the river or not. They had gone to the river with the intention of swimming......but the water was rather cold.

At one point they linked arms, then they unlinked them, then they stood around a bit more ..... and then someone shoved someone else and so I expect they all did end up in the water one way or another.

No such qualms for Jess she will jump in whatever the weather.
