Kowhai Yellow In Context

I walked to this Kowhai on purpose in the hope there would be a Tui bird in it.  That black shape is the bird hanging and drinking nectar as I wanted but no memory card in the camera.  I quickly took this with the phone.  I walked further up to look back at the tree and missed a mountain biker coming around the corner. I trudged home not best pleased.  The pile of dirt is from a slip caused by the big rain.
It has been a good day for gardening and the forester planted seed potatoes and I transplanted hydrangeas that I took as cuttings from the lovely daughters garden in Christchurch.
