Painted

In one of the sunny spells I had the fortune to bump into this Painted Lady nectaring on Red Valerian at the side of the road. 

Still more Speckled Wood about than anything else, but they don’t mind a bit of rain. I also saw a couple of Roe Deer down at the woods, and a Buzzard overhead.
