Big changes in Technology

This television was in our sitting room, connected to the Virgin Media box. Problem is that we very rarely used it and we are paying Virgin a lot of money per month for Broadband, TV and Telephone (Land-Line). Moving the TV onto the dining room wall, and using a 'Fire Stick' means we have TV which uses the WiFi/broadband. It's a little more complicated, we don't get Freeview channels but we do get lots of other choice such as BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Pluto TV and more.
Just got to get used to using it now, should be able to change channels etc. using the Amazon Dot Echo box (Alexa) but she's not playing at the moment. Have to get Daniel over again to explain, which he did today but I'm losing it with technology nowadays. A lifetime in Telecommunications and now it's overtaking me after being involved in the introduction of IP Telephony many, many, years ago, long before Skype.
We are having a new conservatory, to replace our small one. It's been good but we had that put in when we had two grandchildren. Now, with 8, it's just not big enough to accommodate whole family dinners!
